Clariant’s Leather Business have produced their latest forecast for the spring/summer 2006 season in association with the leading institution for trends in leather – Modeurop. The shade card illustrates 30 exciting colours on leather and provide customers with formulations for wet end and finishing.
The new shades are based on the major themes Blondissimo, Blossom-Primavera, Culture and Folklore with a fragile and delicate appearance as well as strong and fresh colours – occasionally combined with neutral browns and natural shades. Whether shoe, garment or accessories, the new look has calmed down without being boring. The new highlights include gold shimmering neutral shades, with sophisticated finishing giving a very special look.
Blondissimo is based on naturalness, with shades from the platinum-blond mop of hair of a child to dark blond combinations showing up first signs of grey streaks. Softly shining gold sets new trends.
The first awakening of buds and blossoms in spring is characterised by the Blossom-Primavera theme. Colour shades are correspondingly light, delicate and pastel, for a feeling of romance. White forms the basis and provides contours.
Culture and Folklore are influenced by the most diverse cultures mixed together and result in an incredible variety of fiery colours and prints. The range appears eccentric and very individual. Burnt red and cool violet are increasingly combined with new greens or blues. Black and white are known for sharp contours, while warm brown and khaki shades provide a kind of smoothing harmony.
For the wet end side Clariant’s hiqh quality dyes lsuch as Sandoderm and Derma are used. Finishing colours are realised with their innovative Neosan 2000 and PPE Pigment Ranges.
