Mebo is a bold and individual new accessories brand for today’s conscientious consumer. Launched in 2005, the brand consists of a range of leather bags influenced by the beauty and diversity of design from cultures around the world.

The Mebo range is inspired by the tribes of the world and has developed an association with Survival International, the leading organisation working for threatened tribal peoples across the globe. For every bag sold from the core range, Mebo will donate £10 to Survival International, to help tribal people throughout the world to defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.

This season, Mebo’s core ‘tribal’ range is inspired by the Yakut, a tribe who live in the harsh, inhospitable climate of Siberia. For every one of the Yakut bags that is sold, Mebo is helping Survival International to give the tribe their voice back and combat exploitation.

Survival is the only major international organisation in the world dedicated to tribal peoples and their rights.

Today, Survival has supporters in 91 countries. It works for tribal peoples’ rights in three complementary ways: education, campaigns and project funding.

They also offer tribal people themselves a platform to address the world. They work closely with local indigenous organisations, and focus on tribal peoples who have the most to lose, usually those most recently in contact with the outside world.

Mebo bags are beautiful, bold, individual and authentic. They are for people who want to make their mark.
