Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development reports that Vietnam’s cattle breeding sector is expanding rapidly as avian influenza devastates the country’s poultry industry, according to the Vietnamese News Agency. Vietnam in December had 4.9 million cattle, an increase of 4.1% as compared with the same month in 2004.
