Equitan’s 10 year celebration day was held on July 27. Company founder Antonio Antoniazzi invited friends, family and clients to cruise along the Brenta Canal in northern Italy. Guests came from around the world, including representatives of Conceria Montebello and Dal Maso Group in Italy, and from further afield Eagle Ottowa, Van Bueren machinery and Albany were present. The ‘Burchiello’ barge took guests along the Brenta, stopping off along the way to visit some of the former summer residences of the Venetian nobility and finally arriving in St Mark’s Square, Venice, for a late afternoon stroll around the sights.
After lunch, Antonio Antoniazzi was presented with a plaque by the Mayor of Chiampo to recognise and commemorate his efforts and entrepreneurship over the last 10 years, and to wish the company success in the coming decade. Equitan is a tannery accessory company with a range of belts meters, stamps and machinery based in Chiampo, next to the Arzignano tanning district.
