‘We felt that the changes requested by our colleagues from China were already covered in the current contract’, John Gorman, president of ASHLEA (Australian Skins Hides & Leather Exporters Association) and vice-president of ICHSLTA, told Leather International. The Chinese delegation presented three different suggestions at the meeting but in the end a vote for ‘no change’ was agreed.
A total of 22 delegates attended the meeting which was held during the ACLE show in Shanghai, China.
