CBASE-NSG levels out any uneven absorbency in crust leathers without any hindrance to anchorage of the subsequent coats. The finish is uniform and long lasting. Being non-ionic in nature, it is easily miscible with the C&E L cationic range widely used in the sealing of base coats. For highly snuffed articles where absorbency is important, high-powered sealants such as those from the CBOND and CTOP series can be readily incorporated. The presence of CBASE-NSG in these systems aids sealing by easing and distributing out the mechanical pressure subjected to the leather after application.
Filling properties
The organic constitution of this product helps to impart a filling and covering character, which is not dull. Matt effects are achieved by additional mechanical action. The extent of look depends upon the
severity of the action applied. For instance, a base coat containing CBASE-NSG would present a shiny filled look when stone polished but would yield a dull appearance otherwise. CBASE-NSG is suitable for polished, burnished and repolishable finishes and also has excellent filling characteristics.
