Russia’s State Statistics Committee reports that Russia imported 5.8 million pairs of leather footwear worth US$56.2 million in the first half of this year, according to the Interfax news agency. Imports from non-CIS states totalled 5.2 million pairs worth US$52.9 million, and from CIS states, 600,000 pairs worth US$3.3 million.
