The announcement said in according with the solution 2012/ 42 of Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission the anti-dumping duty will be imposed on the imported Chinese shoe upper and soles involved HS code of 6406.10.00 in the South American Common Market, shoe parts made in China exported to Brazil will be levied with 182% of additional tax. 

The ministry of industry and commerce launched a nine month investigation in to the import of Chinese shoe parts and found the amount of imported shoe parts from China accounts for 60% of shoemaking materials in Brazil. Since 2010 Brazil began to impose a US$13.85 duty for per pair on imported shoes from China. 

Furthermore the Brazilian shoemaking sector has appealed to the government to launch an investigation into imported shoes from Indonesia and Vietnam, which are thought to be made with Chinese shoemaking materials.
