TFL colour trends spring-summer 2012
8 November 2010TFL have released their new TFL Colour Trends catalogue for the season spring-summer 2012. In the catalogue, TFL present the colour trends for the leather garment, footwear, accessory and additionally for the upholstery industry.
They have divided the colour trends into ‘Wearing’ and ‘Living’, devoting a section to each within the publication. ‘Wearing’ comprises inspirations and colour trends for garments, footwear and accessories. The ‘Living’ section features all colours that will decorate the season’s interior design.
In ‘Living’ the clean and airy hues of nubuck wet-white is the concept of coordinated furnishings. The nubuck appearance prevails on all surfaces and - combined with soft suede for the inside any living space. The colours range from pastel green and beige to amber tones.
In ‘Wearing’ ultra thin nappa leather for the clothing industry with super fine grain micro-flotter deerskin, birdseye patterns, subtle sun effects, folds of wispy nubuck attained through mild washing. The ‘Wearing’ concept also features animal prints such as ostrich, teiidae and anaconda, only to then steer towards reptile grains hand crafted by a tanner. The colours include pastel pink and red as well as earth-coloured and moss-green tones.
TFL highlight their Sella Fast A colour range. Sella Fast A dyes are anionic powder dyes specially selected for the drum dyeing of shoe upper leather.
They also feature the TFL Sella Derm M2 range of liquid salt-free metal complex dyes. These dyes are miscible in water and organic solvents. They are recommended for shade intensifying, correcting and levelling of dyed leather.
