South Korea to accept US beef again

According to various reports, the South Korean government will legalise US beef shipments from June 7, when it will publish a list of acceptable beef plants for boneless beef from cattle under 30 months of age. Before the market closed in 2003, Korean consumers paid top dollar for boned short ribs, which accounted for a significant portion of all beef exports. The US maintains that most bones present no risk to human health but so far the South Korean government has not responded favourably.
