Vilmax, the Argentina based dye manufacturer, have introduced a new range of leather dyes known as Vilmasolid. The new range is the culmination of seven years of research and is available for all types of leather. The Vilmasolid range is made up of 18 core metal complex dyestuffs which can be mixed by the tanner to produce any shade. Vilmasolid has been designed to be used on high quality leathers, including splits, where an even and level shade is required. All products are supplied in powder form and dosing is based on shaved weight. The full range has been tested to ISO standards for lightfastness, migration to pvc, water fastness, perspiration and washing. 'Our products can be used on leathers where washability and differing types of finishing are applied. The range has excellent light and rubfastness properties', says Alejandro Pueyrredon, director, Vilmax. Vilmax are one of the largest producers of dyes for leather in the world and they export to over 40 countries. As well as a worldwide network of agents and distributors, Vilmax have subsidiary companies in Brazil and Hong Kong.
