New BGA member

The British Glove Association is delighted to welcome Marion Kite as a new member. Marion trained in Textiles/ Embroidery at Goldsmiths College School of Art and has been employed at the Victoria & Albert Museum as a textiles conservator for more than 30 years. She is a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Glovers and a trustee of the Glove Collections Trust. She has also been chairman of the Leather Conservation Centre in Northampton for the past five years and is a trustee of the Museum of Leathercraft. As a fellow of the International Institute of Conservation, Marion has published widely on all aspects of textile conservation including papers on the conservation and care of historic gloves. In addition to all this, she also make hats and accessories.
