More visitors at APLF October edition

According to the organisers, APLF Ltd, the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) 2003 October show had 30% more overseas visitors than last year (figures will be confirmed after examination by PricewaterhouseCoopers). The fair took place October 6-8. The APLF 2003 October show offered buyers not only a wide choice of finished goods, including handbags, travelware, footwear, fashion accessories and leather garments, but also a diverse spectrum of new materials and components for footwear and handbags. Exhibitors were pleased with the new contacts and business made during the Fair. Yo Urata of Arkness (supplier of trendy bags and backpacks) from Japan said that their first participation at APLF in Hong Kong was highly successful as they met with many qualified buyers. Marcelo Szarfmeser, president of the Argentina Chamber of Leather Goods (supplier of leathergoods) met with many international distributors and retailers from around the world. They said that nowadays Argentinean prices were very competitive with international markets. In 2004, Fashion Access - Handbags, Travelware, Footwear, Leather Garments and Fashion Accessories will be held from 29 to 31 March, together with Materials, Manufacturing and Technology from 29 March to 1 April, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
