Lycra licence for Din Leather

DuPont Apparel & Textile Science have appointed Din Leather (Pvt) Ltd as their first Leather with Lycra Licensee in the Asia Pacific region. Chief executive of DuPont Pakistan, Asif Ikram, said that with Lycra the unique natural qualities of leather are achieved which makes it possible for garments to conform to the silhouette, while offering uninhibited comfort and freedom of movement. S M Muneer, chairman of the Din Group, said: 'This technological partnership with DuPont Company gives us the opportunity to expand and grow in differentiated, value added and unique products, giving the Pakistan leather industry the platform to enter new product segments and retail markets normally captured by European countries.' Din Leather are one of the biggest exporters of leather garments from Pakistan worth more than US$25 million per annum, producing over 2 million sq ft of goat and sheep leather and 5,000 garments monthly.
