Le Cuir A Paris confirms recovery
16 February 2011The 20th edition of Le Cuir A Paris, took place in Paris, February 8-10 and confirmed the continuing economic recovery which was first observed in last September’s edition. The show took place in a positive mood say the show organisers, SIC Group.
243 exhibitors from 18 different countries participated. Italy had 51% of the exhibitors followed by France (22%) and Spain (11%).
The synergy between the textile and leather sectors was visible in the Trends Gallery. Leathers intertwined with textiles, leather-textile doubleface, leathers with textile prints.
‘A very good show. I am very satisfied with the work over the 3 days. We have made new contacts, particularly French and English, for leather goods. The shoe sector was also present. We’ll come back in September but with a bigger exibition space’, commented Eustaquio Canto, an exhibitor from Spain.
A total of 11,333 visitors attended, of which 60% were foreign, over the 3 days of the show compared with 10,226 in February 2010. This represents an increase of 10.8%.
The top ten visiting countries, after France, were the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, USA, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Japan. All these countries have registered a significant increase in visitors’ numbers.
The next edition of Le Cuir A Paris takes place, September 20-22, 2011 for the 2012-2013 autumn/winter season collections.
