GST acquire selected Seton operations
8 September 2010North American based automotive upholstery maker, GST Autoleather, have acquired Seton Company’s North American cutting and finishing operations it was announced on September 7. GST have also acquired Seton’s Asian operations in China and South Korea. The Saxton, PA, wrapping operation is excluded from the acquisition.
GST intend to undertake a two-phase transfer plan of first the cutting and then the finishing operations. In the meantime, they will set about integrating management teams, processes and communications.
GST Autoleather are headquartered in Southfield, Michigan and have tanning and finishing operations in China, Mexico and Argentina as well as a sales, cutting and quality control network around the world.
Seton have leather processing operations in Costa Rica, Germany and South Africa as well as cutting, R&D and sales operations located in the USA, Hungary, China, Japan and South Korea. Seton, who are also a global supplier of automotive and furniture upholstery leathers, are headquartered in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
