Clean air from Pellizzari

16 February 2003

Italian machinery manufacturers, Pellizzari, are offering tanners a wide range of air washing equipment. Their 'Abbattitori Polveri' range offers three sizes, AP1/S, AP2 and AP3. The equipment may be connected to any piece of tannery equipment, which produces large amounts of dust such as a buffing, milling or dedusting. It is particularly suitable for tanneries where workers have to be protected from air borne dusts and other pollutants. The AP1/S model is the smallest and has the capacity of 1500m3/h. The head of the machine is 200mm and the manufacturer claims that the device removes up to 92% of dust. The installed power of the AP1/S is 3kW. The AP2 model has a capacity of 6,500 m3/h and requires 9kW of installed power. This equipment has a dust removal efficiency of 93% and the head size is approximately 200mm. The AP3 model is the largest in the range and it has the capacity to extract 93% of dust. It requires an installed power of 15kW and has an extraction capacity of 13,500 m3/h. The device has the basic dimensions of 2600mm high x 1120mm wide x 810mm long. All three air scrubbers from Pellizzari are made from painted stainless steel AISI304 with stainless steel ducting. The Pellizzari factory is located close to the Italian tanning area of Arzignano and in 1999 they were ISO 9002 certified.
