Clariant's latest colour forecasts

15 September 2003

Clariant's Business Unit Leather have launched their new shade card illustrating the latest fashion trends for shoe and garment leather with accessories. The colours are for the autumn/winter 2004/05 season. Four colour moods are presented: Personality, Tradition, Modernity and Modern Personality. The new leather collection shows neutral shades of white and grey, silver and chrome variations with cool metals and blacks. Traditionally brownish-green tones and warm autumn shades as well as dynamic colours of the pop era like bright red or pink are also featured. Clariant's new shade card is illustrated as follows: the finished leather samples with both recipes: one for the wet-end and one for finishing. For the wet-end, Clariant's hiqh quality dyes like Sandoderm and Derma are used. For finishing, the colours are produced using Neosan 2000 pigments: the innovative range of casein free, aqueous pigment dispersions. These finishing pigments offer customised solutions and outstanding advantages for all kinds of leather. The fashion forecast from Clariant is published twice a year and is available from your local Clariant agent or representative.
