Boehme expanding in Asia

24 April 2002

With an impressive appearance at the APLF in Hong Kong, one of the most important trade shows for leather and skins in Asia, Boehme are underlining their determination to expand in Asia in general and in China in particular. The German manufacturers and suppliers of high-grade process chemicals, finishing products and dyes have their attention focused on those Asian companies that concentrate on the production of leather and skins for export. Boehme are well informed about the requirements existing in Western buyer countries among the importers of leather, eg for clothing, furniture and automobiles. For the manufacturers of such leather, Boehme offer a matching range of products that guarantee the best possible export chances plus high value added with leather and skins. At the same time, Boehme's leather and skin technicians are actively involved with the company's regional agents in Asia - providing manufacturers with on-the-spot help to optimise their production processes, in order to be better able to meet the quality standards for high-grade exports. New leather waterproofing agents It's all in the mix: Cutafob FWR for the waterproofing of shoe leather, clothing leather and motorcycle leather. A first-class emulsion that uses hydrophobically adapted emulsifying agents to transport long-chain hydrocarbons, fats, functional and bondable silicones and other hydrophobic substances reliably into position. What's more: Cutafob FWR is designed to display excellent float stability even in adverse conditions. The advantages are obvious: stable float throughout the processing period means deep and uniform penetration, homogeneous fatliquoring in lateral and vertical directions, a lasting water-repelling effect, and marvellously rugged, reproducible processes. A concentrate that has what it takes: Cutafob MMS intensifies the effect of standard waterproofing agents. It works particularly well with Cutafob MAS, Cutafob FWR and Pluvion L86. Why? Because of the high proportion of silicone in a concentrate that spontaneously emulsifies in the drum and effectively drives the waterproofing substances in the right direction into the skin. As a consequence, Cutafob MMS lends to superb hydrophobic values. Boehme are also launching a convenience kicking oil and tell us that: 'At last there's a kicking oil for damp skins' - Walkatan FWF. After all, they say, there's no taking risks with furs. Either you condition and dry them thoroughly and uniformly before fatliquoring, or you go straight for Boehme Walkatan FWF. What does this kicking oil do that others don't? With a perfect combination of natural emulsifying agents made of lecithins and lanolin derivatives, it transports the actual fatliquoring agents reliably and uniformly into position. That's nothing new? Correct, but Walkatan FWF is so ingeniously formulated that it overcomes water barriers with ease, wherever they occur on the skin. While standard kicking oils fail miserably because they don't succeed in penetrating the skin on account of the residual water - making the skin more like a board - Walkatan FWF replaces and displaces the water with ease. The results: perfect penetration of the oil into damp skins (even where there are lateral variations in the water content), cloth-like softness and an excellent stretch over the entire skin, with no dry and hard areas. And as to side-effects: less effort for conditioning and during dry tumbling, plus more reliability for reproducible results - which can't be bad!
