Boehme at International Leather Days

In January 2004, Boehme will be represented together with their agency Alfred Paluka at the Deri Günleri and the Istanbul Leather Fair, as well. With a multitude of samples, Boehme will demonstrate their outstanding competency in soft, light garment leathers and doubleface skins. Furthermore, they will present samples out of the other important leather fields such as the shoe, upholstery and automotive sectors. Highlights for the production of shoe upper leathers will be their new products Cutapol RPR, Macrol AGC and Tannit TAL. Cutapol RPR is a main fatliquor for shoe upper leathers. Due to the special selection of the applied raw materials, leathers with good stand and bounce, an excellent tight grain and good softness can be obtained. The product also offers good fullness and a round, waxy handle. Leathers fatted with Cutapol RPR can be easily buffed. Therefore the product is also suited for the production of nubuck leathers. Due to its good heat yellowing fastness, Cutapol RPR can also be applied on light-coloured leathers. Macrol AGC is an additive to fatliquoring which improves the grain elasticity and reduces grain cracking. Leathers fatted with Macrol AGC can be excellently polished. The product does not contain any emulsifiers and can be applied in the production of water-repellent leathers. Tannit TAL is a synthetic retanning agent for full, compact leathers with a tight grain. The product has excellent dispersing properties on vegetable tanning agents and syntans. Tannit TAL does not brighten the leather colour. It is especially suited for application on dark colours with excellent dye levelness. The products Cutapol LFZ, Cutapol LPE and Eskatan FSW are especially recommended for final fatliquoring of doubleface leathers. These three fatliquors produce doubleface leathers with excellent softness and outstanding dyeablity and levelness. Cutapol LFZ provides lightweight doubleface skins with excellent lustre and colour intensity. Cutapol LPE produces furs with an especially full and round handle and a slightly hydrophobic character. On dark-coloured furs, Eskatan FSW produces brilliant and intensive colours and a round, velvety handle. With the products Cutapol TLM, Cutapol TLE and Cutapol VOB, Boehme present three brand-new main fatliquors on a different raw material basis and a completely different design. Although initially these products were developed especially for automotive leathers with their strict emission demands, these Cutapol types have also proved successful on small skins for the production of garment leathers and doubleface skins. Thus the tanner obtains with Cutapol TLM an excellent grain tightness and with Cutapol TLE a nice, fine mill grain. Both products show very good heat and lightfastness. Cutapol VOB is especially recommended for the production of soft and lightweight leathers with yellowing properties which are much better than those of fish oil products. All automotive, upholstery, shoe and garment leathers and fur skins shown at the two Istanbul fairs have, of course, been dyed with the well-known dyes of M Dohmen. These dyes produce clear, brilliant colours with high fastnesses. Boehme and their agency Alfred Paluka have significantly expanded their service network in Türkiye by installing two application laboratories in the main Turkish leather production centres and by increasing their local technical team.
