BMW headline at Freiberg Leather days

7 March 2012

Organisers of the 1st Freiberg Leather Days conference, VGCT and FILK, both Freiberg-based, announced on March 7 that they have had 120 registered participants so far with another month of registration still to go. The two-day conference takes place on April 25-26 at FILK’s headquarters in Freiberg.

‘We expect to welcome at least 150 guests from all over Europe’, says Dr Thomas Schröer, Head of the VGCT-board. The well-selected lecture programme covers all process steps of the leather manufacturing and aspects of quality assurance and new or improved material properties. Dr Andreas Dyla of BMW will outline in his presentation BMW’s trends and expectations for leather seat covers in the automotive industry.

‘We want to serve the industry and provide for a regular convention for exchange of experience and information between leather experts and professionals’ says Dr Schröer.
