Alpe-Spak add new feeder

14 January 2003

To improve the opening and spreading of the hides and skins during the splitting operation, Italian machinery manufacturers, Alpe-Spak, have added a new feeding device to their Sigma 2000 Touch splitting machine. The new feeder is attached to the front of the machine and can operate on wet or dry leather. The feeder has a working width of 1550mm and can be adapted to one of four sizes depending the required application. The new feeding system pulls the leather out and presents it to the splitting blade flatter and more spread to give a better splitting operation.
