ALCA meeting in Greensboro

The American Leather Chemists Association are holding their annual meeting at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. The full technical programme will begin with the Wilson Memorial Lecture on the Friday morning, June 20. The meeting will continue through Saturday afternoon with around 25 lectures being presented. This year's Wilson lecturer will be Dr David Bailey who retired in 2001 after a 31-year career as a research chemist for USDA's Agricultural Research Service. He is currently president of Bailey Consulting, providing research services to several companies in the leather and meat packing industries. Dr Bailey has authored and co-authored more than 100 referred papers and has presented over 50 papers at national and international meetings. He is a past president of ALCA and has also received the ALCA Alsop Award. In addition he is a past president of IULTCS.
